A year-and-a-half after we last checked in, developer RBM of CA has completed vertical construction at a mixed-use building at 3570 Motor Avenue in Palms.
Located at the northeast corner of Motor Avenue and Tabor Street, the project consists of a six-story building that will feature 42 one- bedroom apartments above 1,724 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 52-car garage at completion.
RBM's entitlements require that four of the new apartments be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing.
Designed by DE Architects, the contemporary podium-type building will also include amenities such as a courtyard, a swimming pool, a rooftop amenity deck, and a fitness center.
RBM of CA, a subsidiary of the Japanese real estate investment firm Residence Building Management Co., is also in the midst of construction of a similar mixed-use project Mid-Wilshire neighborhood, and has plans for a 109-unit apartment complex in West Los Angeles.
The 3570 Motor development joints a slew of similar mixed-use project under construction on Motor and Overland Avenues - the two main north-south streets in the Palms neighborhood.
