Construction is complete for the Six Apartments, a new affordable housing complex in MacArthur Park targeted at veterans and chronically homeless individuals.
The project, which was developed by the non-profit Skid Row Housing Trust, consists of a five-story structure containing 52 studio and one-bedroom apartments above offices, support space, a large public courtyard and parking accommodations for automobiles and bicycles. Rents in the apartment complex range between $435 and $776 per month, depending on unit size and income levels.
The low-rise building, designed by Los Angeles-based Brooks + Scarpa Architects, is highlighted by an urban window which opens its internal courtyard to the street. Other amenities include a a green roof with a large public patio.
