LA Family Housing and Many Mansions have broken ground on the Summit View Apartments, a veterans affordable housing complex in the Lake View Terrace neighborhood.
The project, located at 11681 Foothill Boulevard, will consist of four buildings containing 49 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments reserved for households earning at or below 30 and 50 percent of the area median income.
Gonzalez Goodale Architects is designing the project, which will include two- and three-story structures interspersed with landscaped decks, terrace gardens, and surface parking for 17 vehicles.
Construction is expected to occur over approximately 17 months, according to an initial study published by the City of Los Angeles.
Other projects from LA Family Housing include multifamily buildings planned or under construction in South Los Angeles and North Hills.
