A new webcam perched atop the W Hollywood Hotel will provide a live feed of construction progress on the $200-million second phase of Hollywood's Eastown apartments, otherwise known as Blvd 6200 South.

The mixed-use complex, which is being developed by DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, is replacing a 3.18-acre parking lot at 6200 W. Hollywood Boulevard with a series of seven-story buildings containing 507 rental apartments and approximately 60,000 square feet of ground-level retail and restaurant space.

Previous reports have indicated that completion of the project is tentatively scheduled for 2017.  However, it is unclear if the construction timeline has since changed.

The first phase of the development, completed in late 2014, features 535 apartments and roughly 70,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space directly across Hollywood Boulevard.
