Anthem Blue Cross will relocate its local offices to Campus & Warner Center, according to an announcement this week by the property's landlords Lincoln Property Company and Angelo, Gordon & Co.
The Campus, located at 21255 and 21215 Burbank Boulevard, consists of two six-story office buildings. Anthem has agreed to lease 169,000 square feet of space at 21215 Burbank.
Anthem was represented by Corey Davidson, Liron Nelik, and David DiPietro of Savills Studley in the transaction, while Kent Handlemen led negotiations for Lincoln Property Company.
The Indianapolis-based insurer currently leases space at a nearby building at 21555 Oxnard Street in Warner Center. That mid-rise structure, surrounded by several large parking lots, has been marketed as a potential development site.
Coworking firm Spaces has signed a lease for 66,000 square feet of office space at the Univision building at Westchester's Howard Hughes Center, reports the L.A. Business Journal.
The property located at 5999 Center Drive, is owned by CBRE Global Investors.
Spaces has over a half-dozen locations throughout Los Angeles County - including ROW DTLA and City National Plaza in Downtown - according to the Business Journal.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the maker of the online coupon tool Honey has leased the entirety of the former Coca-Cola building in the Arts District.
Hudson Pacific Properties completed its conversion of the former industrial building at 4th Street and Traction Avenue into 130,000 square feet of office space last year. Their improvements to the 1915 building also included the addition of a rooftop penthouse level and a standalone parking garage.
HPP is also converting the former Maxwell Coffee Building opposite 4th Street into office space, a move that underscores the increased appeal of the Arts District's collection of vintage industrial facilities. The neighborhood's most consequential new tenant thus far is Warner Music Group, which is now building out its 257,000-square-foot West Coast headquarters at the former Ford Factory building at 7th Street and Santa Fe Avenue.
Honey is relocating from its current offices atop a parking garage at 8th and Francisco Streets in the Financial District.
In West Hollywood, The Real Deal reports that WeWork has leased 54,000 square feet in the Pacific Design Center's Green Building - adding to an existing 70,000 square feet of space that the co-working firm already leases at the nearby Red building.
