WeWork has more than doubled its footprint at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, according to an announcement earlier this week from PDC owner Charles S. Cohen.
The New York-based co-working giant has leased 70,000 square feet of space on the 7th and 8th floors of the PDC's RedBuilding since 2017. The new lease adds 39,000 square feet on the RedBuilding's 11th floor, as well as 54,500 square feet on the 7th floor of the Green Building.
“With 1.7 million people predicted to be working in thousands of coworking spaces worldwide by the end of 2018, WeWork is well prepared for the future, thanks to PDC’s large, flexible spaces that can accommodate a multitude of configurations,” said Marc Horowitz, Cohen Brothers Realty Corp. Senior Vice President/ National Director of Leasing in the release.
The WeWork lease comes less than a month after entertainment company A24 announced plans to occupy the entire 12th floor of the RedBuilding - a 25,000-square-foot space.
The West Hollywood outpost of WeWork has also signed a deal to house the incubator space Imagine Impact, which is backed by director and producer Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.
