Hankey Investment Company and Barker Pacific Group have announced the purchase of Sunset media Center from Kilroy Realty. The 22-story, 325,000-square-foot office building at 6255 W. Sunset Boulevard sold for $61 million. At the current time, it is roughly 51 percent occupied.

For those who remember, the building is home to the headquarters of AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The site sits across the street from parking lots still slated for the as-yet unbuilt Palladium Residences development, which was said to have inspired AHF to launch its unsuccessful campaign to pass Measure S in 2017.

L.A. County has commenced construction on a new parking structure at Lot 4 in Marina del Rey, across the street from Trader Joe's near Admiralty Way and Mindanao Way. The completed project would provide 368 parking stalls, and would be accompanied by a new plaza connecting to the Marvin Braude Bike Path.

Completion is expected by late Fall 2026.

California homeowners could qualify for grants for new roofs and fire safety "The Safe Homes grant program is designed to help low- and middle-income homeowners with fire mitigation. People who qualify could use grants to create 5-foot ember-resistant zones around properties, also known as Zone Zero, as required by law in some areas.
