At the northwest corner of Lankershim Boulevard and Otsego Street in North Hollywood, the wood frame of a mixed-use apartment complex is now rising.

Lankershim + Otsego, a project from Camden Securities Company, will eventually consist of a seven-story building containing 297 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop 26,000 square feet of retail space - to be occupied by a 365 by Whole Foods Market.

DE Architects is designing the mid-rise structure, which will be defined by offset floors that create terrace balconies at its namesake intersection.

Completion of the residential-retail project is anticipated in 2019.

Not far south at the intersection of Lankershim and Huston Street, a smaller mixed-use development is also planned.
