Nearly three years after breaking ground, CIM Group's Westgate Apartment development is in the final stages of construction.

Located at 11800 Santa Monica Boulevard, the five-story development has replaced a car dealership with 147 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments and several live/work spaces. The project received density bonus incentives for setting aside some of the units for affordable housing. On the ground floor, approximately 42,000 square feet of commercial space will serve both residents and the neighborhood. Both Target and pet retailer Healthy Spot have already signed leases, with Target taking 31,000 square feet of the space.

LOHA designed the podium-type building, which features varying roof heights, a striking black and white modular façade, and a public plaza. Amenities include a pool deck, clubhouse, gym, and co-working space.

Completion of the project is scheduled for early 2019.

CIM and LOHA are also working on another mixed-use residential development on Santa Monica Boulevard.
