At Tustin Legacy, the sprawling 1,600-acre site which was once a Marine Corps Air Station, developer Brookfield Residential has started sales at its latest Orange County project: The Landing at Tustin Legacy.
Legacy consists of three separate developments - Terra, Luna, and Cira - which are intended to appeal to different types of buyers (and different price ranges):
- Terra consists of flats and townhomes in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts up to 2,275 square feet in size, with prices ranging from the $600,000s to the $900,000s.
- Luna features townhomes in three- and four-bedroom floor plans up to 2,270 square feet in size, with prices from the $900,000s to over $1 million.
- Cira consists of four- and five-bedroom homes of up to 3,398 square feet (with private yards), and prices ranging from $1.2 million to more than $1.5 million.
In addition to housing, The Landing includes a new recreation space known as The Deck, which will include a pool and event space. Additionally, the new homes sit within walking distance to Flight at Tustin Legacy, a sprawling office campus built by LPC West.

In addition to for-sale homes, affordable housing and market-rate rentals are also in the works for the Tustin Legacy site. The City of Tustin recently announced that it has entered into an exclusive negotiating agreement with AvalonBay Communities and Abode Communities for the redevelopment of a nearly 20-acre section of the former air base with more than 1,200 apartments - 25 percent of which would be reserved for rent by households earning between 30 and 80 percent of the Orange County area median income.
