A half-year after commencing construction, the wooden frames of a new townhome development are starting to take shape in Harbor Gateway.
Nerja Investments, the Irvine-based firm behind new project at 15812 S. Vermont Avenue, is developing 22 single-family dwellings on a site previously occupied by small residential and commercial buildings.
City records indicated that Pathema Studios, also known as MOCC Group, is affiliated with the project. The new houses are each three stories in height.
Los Angeles County Assessor's records indicate that Nerja acquired the roughly 33,800-square-foot site for roughly $2.1 million in 2006.
A handful of similar townhome-style projects are also under construction in the neighboring community of Gardena.
