Six months after we last stopped by, the wrapping is starting to come off at a small mixed-use project just north of Pico Boulevard in West Los Angeles.
The project, located at 2336 S. Westwood Boulevard, consists of a three-story building that will feature 24 apartments above ground-floor commercial space. According to permits issued by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, the apartment complex also features a basement parking structure.
City records list Pasadena-based Arbel-Henderson & Associates, Inc. as both architect and project applicant.
A leasing profile for the property's 2,388 square feet of ground-floor retail space currently advertises availability as starting in December 2022.
The new apartment complex is rising from a property located just one block north of the former Westside Pavilion shopping mall, which has been converted into a Google-anchored office campus by developer Hudson Pacific Properties.
Other projects slated for the surrounding neighborhood include a proposed 50-unit apartment complex with ground-floor commercial space at 2301 S. Westwood Boulevard.
