In Historic South-Central, Los Angeles-based developer Cityview has completed construction of a mixed-use apartment complex he intersection of Adams Boulevard and Grand Avenue.
The Jasper apartments, which are located midway between Downtown Los Angeles and USC at 2528 S. Grand Avenue, consist of a seven-story building featuring 296 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above 5,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 390-car garage.
A leasing website for the property lists monthly rents ranging from $2,150 to $3,825 per month. Floor plans range from as small as 517 square feet to as large as 1,328 square feet.
The property also includes 25 units of deed-restricted very low-income affordable housing, as well an additional three units priced for moderate-income households, which were required as a condition of approval imposed by the City of Los Angeles.
In addition to housing, Jasper also features on-site amenities for residents including a courtyard with a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a club room.
Other members of the Jasper project team included AC Martin, WPIC Construction, Nadia Geller Designs and Labib Funk and Associates.
The project is the latest in a small handful of new developments to be built within walking distance of Metro's LATTC/Ortho Institute Station in the past decade, potentially setting the stage for the construction of a 15-story apartment tower from developer Geoff Palmer on what is now a parking lot fronting Flower Street.
Cityview, in addition to Jasper, has a portfolio of upcoming projects in Historic Filipinotown, Gardena, and Westchester.
