Just off the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, vertical construction is complete for a new multifamily residential development Wiseman Residential.
The project, which replaced a smaller 1940s building at 7050 W. Hawthorn Avenue, consists of a seven-story building which will feature 60 apartments above parking on two podium levels and one subterranean level.
Building permits indicate that the apartments will include 12 below market-rate units, including seven priced at the very low-income level, three priced at the low-income level, and two priced at the moderate-income level.
Uriu & Associates is designing the project, per city records.
The project site sits one block to the east of La Brea Avenue, where a commercial complex is poised to make way for a similar multifamily residential complex with 100 apartments
Los Angeles-based Wiseman Residential is one of the city's most prolific developers of infill housing, typically constructing by-right projects in neighborhoods such as Palms, Venice, and Mid-Wilshire.
