Hilton hotel takes shape at 123 Huntington Drive in Arcadia

After a year of construction, wood framing is now rising for a new Hilton hotel just east of the famed Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia.

The which is being built by R.D. Olson Construction, is located at 123 W. Huntington Drive. Plans call for 173 guest rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, meeting space, and a rooftop bar overlooking the neighboring racetrack.

Axis Architecture is designing the hotel, which involves the adaptive reuse of a three-story office building and the construction of a new six-story tower next door. Combined, the two structures will be 138,000 square feet in size.

The design of the Hilton is described as echoing the Art Deco look of Santa Anita's main pavilion, featuring curving facade and tall vertical windows which wrap the exterior.

VG Properties is developing the hotel, which is slated for completion in in Summer 2025.

The Hilton is the second hotel in recent years to arrive at the doorstep of the Santa Anita Racetrack. In 2021, a 232-room Le Méridien opened directly across Huntington Drive.
