On a previously vacant site located just north of the I-10 Freeway in El Monte, construction is in full swing for a new housing development from Brandywine Homes.

Avila, now taking shape at 11348 Valley Boulevard, will include 39 townhomes in a mix of two- and three-bedroom floor plans. According to a sales website, the units will range from 1,388 to 1,671 square feet in size.

The sales website advertises asking prices between $679,000 and more than $760,000.

Other upcoming for-sale developments in El Monte include 87 townhomes recently approved for a site adjacent to the city's Metrolink station.

Brandywine's other L.A. County projects include townhomes in Pico Rivera and Long Beach.
