Rendering vs. Reality: Mixed-use building at 1341 Gardena Boulevard

In Gardena, Los Angeles-based South Bay Developers is putting the finishing touches on a mixed-use apartment complex just east of Normandie Avenue.

The project at 1341 Gardena Boulevard, located on the former site of the Gardena Valley YWCA, consists of a three-story edifice containing 14 apartments above ground-floor commercial space.

A profile on LoopNet advertises a total of 1,800 square feet of commercial space for lease, with availability starting on November 30, 2024.

The finished product closely resembles a rendering posted to South Bay Developers' website, featuring a brick exterior on its two lower levels and a rooftop terrace above.

South Bay Developers, in addition to its Gardena project, has also developed larger mixed-use buildings on 5th and 7th Streets in Downtown San Pedro.

The project site sits to the north of a property on Normandie Avenue where industrial buildings are slated to give way to 403 apartments.
