A six-unit apartment building in Mar Vista is slated to give way to new affordable housing via the Mayor's Executive Directive 1.
The proposed project from Thomas Beadel, slated for a property just south of Venice Boulevard at 112442 W. Pacific Avenue, calls for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 42 one- and two-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.
According to findings included with entitlement application, the proposed apartments would be restricted to rent by moderate-, low-, and very low-income households. In exchange, the project would be eligible for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules.
Stockton Architects is designing the project, which is depicted in a rendering as a contemporary low-rise structure clad in painted stucco.
Beadel and Stockton Architects are working on ED1 projects in neighborhoods across Los Angeles, including projects in North Hollywood and Sawtelle.
