Apartments near completion at 12767 Mitchell Ave. in Mar Vista

In Mar Vista, completion nears for a new multifamily residential development from Beach City Capital.

Named for its address at 12767 Mitchell Avenue, the project broke ground in late 2022, and consists of a four-story building featuring 27 apartments atop ground-floor parking.

The new construction replaces three smaller apartment buildings which featured a combined total of 25 residential units. All were vacated via the Ellis Act in 2019.

MUL-MAC is designing the contemporary low-rise building, which closely resembles a conceptual rendering produced prior to the start of construction.

Fassberg is the project's general contractor.

The development site sits a short walk north of Washington Boulevard, where Culver City and Los Angeles officials have approved a mixed-use project which would bring 144 apartments and retail to a wedge-shaped property that was once home to a 99 Cents Only store.
