At the intersection of Constellation Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars in Century City, glass is now climbing the steel structure of a new high-rise office tower from JMB Realty Corp.
Century City Center, under construction at 1950 S. Avenue of the Stars, stands 37 stories in height and will feature 730,000 square feet of offices above parking, and retail space when completed. At the rear of the property, plans call for two acres of gardens and courtyards.
The project is slated to open with much of its space already spoken for. Prior to the start of construction, CAA announced plans to move its headquarters into 400,000 square feet of space at Century City Center, while Clearlake Capital has reportedly agreed to pre-lease 150,000 square feet of space within the building.
Johnson Fain is designing the building, which will stand approximately 564 feet in height to its apex.
Completion of Century City Center is expected in 2026, at roughly the same time the Constellation/Avenue of the Stars subway station is set to open with Metro's D Line extension.
More offices may be on the way elsewhere in the neighborhood. As part of an overhaul of its historic studio lot, Fox Corp. has announced plans that include a 35-story office tower nearby on Avenue of the Stars.
