The curtain has lifted for a new a multifamily residential development Brennen Hakimian in Westwood.

Located on a corner lot along Veteran at 10939 Ohio Avenue, the six-story building features 18 studio, one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom apartments above basement parking for 12 vehicles.

Project entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities incentives, allowing for a larger development than otherwise permitted by zoning rules. In exchange, three apartments are to be set aside for rent by extremely low-income households.

Warren Techentin Architecture designed the contemporary podium-type building, which has an exterior of smooth stucco painted mint green. Our comments section previously described the building as has having a "Gaudi vibe" and looking like "Casa Milà meets an 80s office building.

The project is the three developments from Hakimian and Techentin along the short stretch of Veteran Avenue between Wilkins Avenue to the north and Massachusetts Avenue to the south, including a building set now rising 1402 Veteran and a larger complex at 1505 Veteran.
