A prolific developer of affordable housing is approved to build on the former site of a single-family home in North Hollywood, per a recent permit issued by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.

The project from HVN Development,  slated for a site at 11218 W. Califa Street, will consist of a five-story building featuring 76 one- and two-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.

As a condition of approval for density bonus incentives and Executive Directive 1 streamlining, all of the apartments are to be rented to low- and moderate-income households.
