A local development firm has reportedly nabbed a $48-million construction loan for a new mixed-use building in West Hollywood.
The project from Los Angeles-based Massachi, slated cor a corner lot at 8025 Santa Monica Boulevard, calls for the construction of a new seven-story building featuring 115 studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings atop 3,909 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Parking for 115 vehicles would be provided at-grade and in two subterranean levels.
Project approvals require that 16 of the new apartments be set aside affordable housing, according to plans.
OfficeUntitled was responsible for the entitlement design 8025 Santa Monica, which is depicted in renderings as a contemporary podium-type building with terrace decks at its rooftop, an interior courtyard, and a pool deck. The firm is not the architect of record for the project, per Massachi.
Massachi, the developer, has been active in the neighboring Hollywood community. The company's projects include a new 24-unit building recently developed just north of Santa Monica Boulevard's intersection with Orange Drive and another proposed next to the Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard.
