Construction is set to begin in early 2027 for a new affordable housing complex in Burbank, McCarthy Companies announced earlier this month.
The Village at Fairview, which is being developed by Homes & Hope with Burbank Housing Corporation, is slated for a property at 2321-2335 N. Fairview Street. Plans call for the construction of a four-story structure featuring 60 one-, two-, three-, and four-story buildings above a single level of basement parking with 60 stalls.
The project will include 15 units for homeless families with children, which are to be fully furnished through through donations from community partners. The remaining 45 units are to be reserved for households ranging from extremely low to lower income.
Y&M Architects is designing the Village, which would include a central courtyard and a recreation room, among other common amenities for residents.
The project is Burbank Housing Corporation's first low-income tax credit development. The total cost of the project is approximately $45.6 million, according to a notice issued by the City of Burbank.
McCarthy Companies, which is providing both preconstruction services for the project, issued a news release indicating that design development for the project commenced in April 2026.
