HVN Development is doubling down on affordable housing near the K Line in Westchester.
On June 8, HVN filed an application with the City of Los Angeles seeking approvals for the construction of a five-story, 77-unit affordable housing complex at 8811 S. Reading Avenue. Plans call for a mix of one- and two-bedroom homes without parking.
HVN would set aside apartments for low- and moderate-income renters to permit the scale of the project through density bonus law.
Stockton Architects is designing the project, which like other HVN developments, is portrayed in a rendering as a contemporary low-rise structure.
The project site is located a short walk from another under-construction HVN project at 8911 S. Ramsgate Avenue, which is one of several new affordable housing developments in the surrounding neighborhood.
