More affordable housing is coming to a site near the Los Angeles River in Studio City, according to permits issued recently by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
The project from HVN Development, slated for a property at 12025 W. Hoffman Street, calls for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 78 apartments.
As with all HVN projects, the proposal utilizes density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than would otherwise be allowed by zoning rules. The project will be fully affordable to low- and moderate-income renters.
Stockton Architects is designing the project.
The project is one of a handful of developments HVN has in the works for Studio City, including similar buildings on Moorpark Street and Acama Street.
The project is also located steps from Radford Studios, which Netflix is reportedly in the process of purchasing.
