Wood framing has reached its peak for the latest affordable housing complex in Del Rey from Los Angeles-based developer Passo.

The project, located at 4706 Centinela Avenue, consists of an eight-story edifice that will feature 73 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking when complete.

The project utilized density bonus incentives to permit a larger development than zoning rules would have otherwise allowed at this location. The apartments are to be restricted to occupancy by low- and moderate-income households, save for a single market-rate manager's unit.

Passo has recently commenced work on similar affordable housing developments at several sites in the Del Rey and Sawtelle neighborhoods. That includes a project now rising one half-mile to the north at 4129 Centinela.
