An application found via ATC reveals plans for a new Executive Directive 1 affordable housing project in Del Rey.
The proposed development, slated for a vacant property at 4706 Centinela Avenue, is proposed by Los Angeles-based developer Passo. Plans call for the construction of a new seight-story edifice featuring 73 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.
Findings included with the application indicate that the project will require density bonus incentives to achieve the proposed building envelope. The apartments are to be rented by low- and moderate-income households, save for a single market-rate manager's unit.
Aero Collective is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which would also include amenities such as a community room, a recreation room, a game room, and a gym.
Passo, in addition to the new proposal in Del Rey, has recently filed plans with the City of Los Angeles seeking to build a similar affordable housing complex near Stoner Park in Sawtelle.
