Lennar has unveiled a new development just west of the I-405 Freeway in Carson.
The Manhattan Square development, located along the west side of Avalon Boulevard, includes 351 condominiums and townhomes, with prices starting in the mid $700,000s.
"Manhattan Square represents an exciting new chapter for Carson — one that brings much-needed homeownership opportunities at exceptional price points to one of the South Bay's most connected and sought-after locations," said Lennar division president John Lavender in a news release. "We're proud to offer homebuyers the chance to own in a vibrant, gated community that delivers modern design, resort-style amenities and outstanding access to everything the South Bay has to offer. This is the kind of attainable homeownership opportunity that doesn't come along often in Southern California, and we couldn't be more excited to bring it to Carson."
The project includes two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes ranging between 1,229 and 2,066 square feet in size.
The new townhomes were approved as part of a larger mixed-use project entitled by Faring, which encompasses land previously improved with a mobile home park. Faring is slated to break ground in the near future on apartment buildings along the eastern side of the site.
Lennar, in addition to its work in Carson, is also developing housing elsewhere in the South Bay. Last year, the company broke ground on a similar project next to the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance.
