Months after scoring a $48-million construction loan, and orange tower crane stands high above the intersection of Santa Monica and Crescent Heights Boulevards, where a mixed-use building from Massachi is rising in West Hollywood.

The project, which occupies a corner lot at 8025 Santa Monica Boulevard, calls for the construction of a new seven-story building featuring 115 studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings atop 3,909 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 115-car parking garage.

Entitlements granted by the City of West Hollywood require that 16 of the new apartments be set aside affordable housing.

OfficeUntitled provided the entitlement design for the project, which is to include terrace decks at its rooftop, an interior courtyard, and a pool deck. The firm is not the architect of record for the project, according to Massachi founder Alex Massachi.

Massachi, in addition to its new West Hollywood project, is active in the City of Los Angeles. The company's projects include a new 24-unit building recently developed just north of Santa Monica Boulevard's intersection with Orange Drive and another proposed next to the Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard.
