A staff presentation to the West Hollywood Planning Commission offers a look at new angles of a proposed office complex on the Sunset Strip.

The project from West Hollywood-based developer Faring, slated to replace a shuttered car dealership at 9160-9176 Sunset Boulevard, calls for the construction of a five-story building featuring 52,999 square feet of offices above commercial space and an 85-car garage.

Gensler remains the architect for the project, which is structured to incorporate terraced decks which reduces its overall scale toward the residential neighborhood to the south of the Strip. Upper-level setbacks and offset floor plans would be used to create outdoor decks for tenants.

Digital would potentially wrap the exterior of the structure, although those displays are being processed separately from the building itself.

Pending approvals by the City of West Hollywood and other government agencies, construction is expected to occur over a roughly 19-month period, according to an environmental study previously circulated for the project.

Faring is attached to numerous projects within the City of West Hollywood, as well as several residential developments in the South Bay.
