A developer who recently secured approvals for an AB 2011 project on PCH in Redondo Beach is back for a second project farther inland, per DFH Architects.
Last month, the City of Redondo Beach issued an approval letter to Redondo Seaside Living, LLC for a project which would redevelop and existing commercial building located at 2701 190th Street. Plans call for the construction of a four-story building featuring 24 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with 3,732 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. An existing 35-car garage would be utilized for the new building.
Like the earlier project along PCH, the 190th development utilized AB 2011 to permit housing on a commercially-zoned site. To qualify for the provisions of the law, as well as density bonus incentives, the project will include four units of very low- and moderate-income housing.
DFH Architects' design for 2701 190th Street includes approximately 4,800 square feet of outdoor open space through private decks, a common courtyard, and a rooftop deck. Renderings depict a contemporary low-rise building.
Other projects recently developed in the near vicinity include a collection of townhomes a short walk to the west near 190th's intersection with Hawthorne Boulevard.
