A single-family home next to the 101 Freeway in Hollywood is set to give way to a small lot subdivision, per a new application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The project, which would rise at 6407 W. Dix Street, sits just northeast of the intersection of Cahuenga Boulevard and Franklin Avenue. Applicant and property owner Songdong Hu of 6407 Dix, LLC is seeking approvals to subdivide the site to enable the construction of 13 single-family homes, each featuring three bedrooms.
Gibbs Architects is designing the project, which are shown in plans as contemporary low-rise structures arranged around a common driveway. All of the homes would include a rooftop deck.
City records indicate the existing home was built in 1912.
Hu, the applicant, was previously attached to plans for a small lot subdivision in Highland Park
