Orange County-based homebuilder City Ventures has plans for a new development in Santa Ana.

The project, according to a recent presentation to the Santa Ana Planning Commission, would rise from a 2.5-acre property at 510 and 520 N. Harbor Boulevard, calls for the new construction of 45 two- and three-story townhomes with 11,673 square feet of open space. The townhomes would consist of three- and four-bedroom floor plans, each featuring at least two bathrooms and a two-car garage.

Project approvals require that five of the apartments are to be set aside as affordable housing for those earning between 80 and 120 percent of the area median income level - or $154,800 for a four-person household in Orange County.

WHA is designing the townhomes, which would be of a contemporary style and range from 1,451 to 1,775 square feet in size.

City Ventures, in addition to its Santa Ana project, is also developing 59 townhomes and commercial space just north of the 91 Freeway in Santa Ana.
