New affordable housing is coming to a busy intersection in South Los Angeles, per a Los Angeles City Planning application recently uncovered via ATC.
The project at 1021 W. Florence Avenue, planned a short distance west of Vermont Avenue, calls for the construction of a five-story building featuring 55 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.
In addition to streamlined approvals via Executive Directive 1, the project would seek density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules. All of the apartments are to be rented by low- and moderate-income households, save for a manager's unit.
Mobbil is designing the project, according to the plans.
The applicant behind the project is listed at 1021 Florence, LLC.
