Compton city officials have signed off on plans from Irvine-based homebuilder City Ventures to subdivide and redevelop a long vacant property with townhome-style condominiums.
The Concord Residential development, slated for a 2.45-acre property located at 930 W. Compton Boulevard, calls for the construction of 60 for-sale homes, as well as private streets, sidewalks, parking areas, and landscaping. City Ventures is planning a mix of three- and four-bedroom homes, each of which will feature all-electric utilities.
Per conditions of approval, 10 of the homes are to be reserved for sale to moderate-income households, with the remaining 50 units to be priced at market rate.
Project entitlements include a general plan amendment and a conditional use permit.
Similar for-sale housing developments from the Olson Company are planned or under construction on nearby sites along Central Avenue in Compton.
Other Los Angeles area projects from City Ventures include new homes planned in Whittier, Commerce, and Long Beach.
