Yet another infill housing development is on the rise on the blocks surrounding Vista Hermosa Park.
The new project from developer Urban Stearns, now fully-framed at 1350 W. Court Street, consists of a six-story building which will feature 69 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above a 61-car garage at completion.
Ferrier Architecture Studio is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which will include small courtyards at the it's second floor and a larger rooftop deck.
Project approvals include Transit Oriented Communities incentives, which permits a larger structure than normally allowed by zoning rules in exchange for reserving a portion of the new apartments as affordable housing.
Urban Stearns is also attached to a large adaptive reuse project in Downtown San Pedro and a proposed mixed-use complex in Warner Center.
Their work near Vista Hermosa Park follows similar projects from the Bond Companies, 4Site Real Estate, and Aragon Properties Corp.
