An application recently considered by the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission calls for new affordable housing to be built in unincorporated East Los Angeles.

The proposed project, which would rise from a site at 4600 E. Olympic Boulevard, comes from property owner Magna Loyal, LLC. Plans call for the construction of a five-story building featuring 69 units of low- and moderate-income housing without on-site parking.

A staff report lists the project applicant as someone associated with Metropolis Architecture, a firm attached to numerous Executive Directive 1 affordable housing developments in the City of Los Angeles. A rendering portrays the building with a contemporary design.

The project site, located just east of the 710 Freeway, last sold in 2021, according to Los Angeles County Assessor's records.
