A pair of East Hollywood duplexes could be razed and redevelopment with affordable housing via the Mayor's Executive Directive 1, per a recent submission to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

Yossi Attia of 1134 Westmoreland, LLC, the project applicant, has requested approvals to build on two parcels located 1134-1140 N. Westmoreland Avenue. Plans call for a five-story building featuring 98 studio and one-bedroom apartments, without on-site parking.

As the project consists entirely of low- and moderate-income apartments, density bonus incentives have also been requested to permit a larger structure than would be allowed by base zoning.

64North is designing the project, which is portrayed in plans as a contemporary podium-type building.

The proposed project is not the first attempt to develop this site. In 2019, property owner NPSC Westmoreland, LLC secured approvals to redevelop the property with nine single-family homes.
