The Planning Department has signed off on a proposal to redevelop a property near the Los Angeles-West Hollywood border with affordable housing, according to an administrative compliance letter issued on November 22.
The project from applicant Jeffrey Sedacca of AMS Hollywood, LLC and CGS Hollywood, LLC - slated to replace empty residential buildings at 7770 Hollywood Boulevard - calls for the construction of a new eight-story edifice featuring 213 studio and one-bedroom apartments with parking for 25 vehicles.
The proposal, which made use of the streamlining provisions of Executive Directive 1, would be restricted to rent by low- and moderate-income households.
64North is designing the project, which is shown in plans as a contemporary podium-type building.
