Logos Faith Development and Cal Lutheran Homes are teaming up to develop affordable housing in South Los Angeles.
The proposed project, which would be developed using the streamlining provisions of Executive Directive 1, is planned for land owned by Holy Trinity Church at 9704 S. Broadway in Broadway-Manchester. Plans call for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 67 apartments without on-site parking.
According to plans, the project would consist exclusively of one-bedroom dwellings reserved for low- and moderate-income renters. That makes the project eligible for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than zoning rules would otherwise permit.
JZA Architecture is designing the proposed project, according to preliminary plans presented to the City of Los Angeles.
Logos Faith Development, which specializing in SB4 projects on land owned by religious institutions, is also working on a project with New Philly AME Church in Long Beach.
