A vacant corner lot in East Hollywood could yield new affordable housing, according to plans unearthed via ATC.
The project from Advanced Properties, LLC, which would be processed on an expedited timeline in accordance with the Mayor's Executive Directive 1, is slated for a property at 1301 N. Alexandria Avenue. Plans call for the construction of a new five-story edifice featuring 51 one- and two-bedroom apartments without automobile parking.
The proposal also would utilize density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. All of the apartments would be set aside as affordable housing, predominately at the low- and moderate-income levels.
California Development & Design, Inc. is designing the contemporary low-rise structure, according to the plans.
Previously, the same property owner entitled the site for a mixed-income development with 16 apartments using the Transit Oriented Communities incentives.
