An empty lot just east of Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood is poised for the construction of affordable housing, per an application submitted recently to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed development from Angeleno Investments, slated for a property at 10912 W. Huston Street, would consist of a four-story building featuring 38 one- and two-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.

In addition to streamlined permitting in accordance with the Mayor's Executive Directive 1, requested entitlements include density bonus incentives to permit waivers from certain zoning rules. All of the homes would be set aside for rent by low- and moderate-income households.

Open Office is designing the project, which is shown in plans with an exterior of metal and fiber cement panels.

Angeleno Investments and Open Office are also attached to a similar affordable housing complex planned at 6942 Baird Avenue in Reseda.
