An existing single-family home near the Hollywood/Western subway station in Los Feliz is set to give way to an affordable housing complex, per a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The project, slated for a site at 1756 N. Serrano Avenue, calls for the construction of a new six-story building featuring 40 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.

As a fully-affordable housing development, the project is eligible for development bonuses through the citywide housing incentive program.

Emilson, Inc. is listed as both the architect and owner’s representative for the project. Plans portray the project as a contemporary podium-type building.

Eugene Vdovychenko is listed as project representative.

Additional affordable housing was recently completed a short distance to the southwest on a former parking lot just off of Hollywood Boulevard.
