An empty lot in Koreatown is up for redevelopment with affordable housing, per a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The project from Angeleno Investments, slated for a corner property at 898 S. Crenshaw Boulevard, calls for the construction of a new four-story building featuring 37 apartments without on-site parking.

Requested approvals include density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. The project will include a mix of low- and moderate-income units.

Open Office is designing the project, per plans included with the application.

Angeleno Investments and Open Office are also attached to similar affordable housing developments planned at several sites in Los Angeles, including new developments at 6942 Baird Avenue in Reseda and at 10912 Huston Street in North Hollywood.
