An auto repair business in Harvard Heights is slated to make way for affordable housing, per a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The proposed development, filed in March by applicant Joshua Golcheh of 2150 MSB Capital, LLC, would rise from a corner property at 2150 Venice Boulevard. Plans call for the new construction of a six-story building featuring 69 apartments without on-site parking.
Dubbed Venice Gardens, the building would consist exclusively of one-bedroom dwellings, all priced for low- and moderate-income households save for a single manager's unit.
KFA Architecture is designing the contemporary low-rise structure, which would be composed of prefabricated modular units.
The proposed project would rise a short walk to the east of a similar affordable housing development proposed for a site at 2225 Venice Boulevard.
