Nine months since our last update, the exterior of a new office tower from JMB Realty Corp. looks largely finished in Century City.
Century City Center, located at 1950 S. Avenue of the Stars, is a 37-story tower that will house 730,000 square feet of offices above parking, and retail space when completed. Plans also call for two acres of gardens and courtyards at the rear of the property, which sits at the northwest corner of Constellation Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars.
While many landlords in the Los Angeles area have struggled to fill space large blocks of space, JMB is off to a good start at Century City Center. Prior to the start of construction, CAA announced plans to move its headquarters into 400,000 square feet of space at Century City Center, while Clearlake Capital has subsequently agreed to pre-lease 150,000 square feet of space within the building.
Johnson Fain is designing the contemporary glass-and-steel high-rise, which will stand approximately 564 feet in height to its apex.
Completion of Century City Center is expected in 2026.
More offices may be on the way elsewhere in the neighborhood. As part of an overhaul of its historic studio lot, Fox Corp. has announced plans that include a 35-story office tower nearby on Avenue of the Stars.
