At Inglewood's Hollywood Park complex, a tower crane has arrived for the $300-million Kali Hotel development.
KPC Development Co., a company with holdings in both California and India, is building the project, which the Los Angeles Times reports will be the developer's first hotel in the United States. Plans call for a 13-story, 300-room building called the Kali Hotel, which will be the only hotel within the Hollywood Park complex.
Located on Stadium Drive opposite Hollywood Park's artificial lake from SoFi Stadium, the hotel will be a part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, and is to include 34 suites intended to cater to sports and entertainment figures visiting nearby venues in Hollywood Park. Additionally, plans call for a rooftop bar, three restaurants, a pool deck, a fitness center, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, and subterranean parking for 315 vehicles.
Lamar Johnson Collaborative, best known for its work in Chicago, is designing the contemporary tower. Other members of the team include design firm Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence and builder Clayco.
Completion of the Kali Hotel anticipated by Spring 2026, which will allow the hotel to serve attendees at the 2026 World Cup, the 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
The hotel is rising from a property ground leased from Kroenke Holdings, owner of the Los Angeles Rams and the Hollywood Park complex. The master planned development is billed as the largest project of its type on the west coast, and will surround SoFi Stadium with 89,000 square feet of retail space and 2,500 homes when completed.
While the Kali Hotel sets the stage for more hotels in walking distance to the stadium, including a Fairfield Inn that would rise on Century Boulevard and the 15-story Arya Hotel planned next to Intuit Dome.
