Urban Architecture Lab has unveiled renderings of a new multifamily residential development set to start work later this year in unincorporated East Pasadena.
The project from Legendary Development, slated for a site at 380 S. Rosemead Boulevard, calls for the construction of a seven-story building featuring 169 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments with basement parking for 215 vehicles. Plans call for live/work units to line the ground floor of the building.
Density bonus incentives granted to the project in an approval letter last year require that 13 of the apartments be set aside for rent by extremely low-income households.
Renderings of the project depict a contemporary podium-type building with a C-shaped footprint. Plans call for more than 16,000 square feet of open space amenities, including a rear yard, a central courtyard, a pool deck, and a rooftop terrace.
Construction of the building is set to commence in late 2026, per a representative of Urban Architecture Lab.
The project is a slight reduction in scale and density from the seven-story, 193-unit development Legendary Development previously entitled for the property.
