A news release from Logos Faith Development offers a first look at the Holy Trinity Apartments, a new affordable housing complex being developed as part of a joint venture with Cal Lutheran Homes in South Los Angeles.

The new construction project, proposed using the streamlining elements of Executive Directive 1, would rise on land owned by Holy Trinity Church at 9704 S. Broadway in Broadway-Manchester. Plans call for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 67 apartments without on-site parking.

The building would consist exclusively of one-bedroom dwellings reserved for low- and moderate-income renters. That makes the project eligible for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than zoning rules would otherwise permit.

JZA Architecture is designing the proposed project, which is shown in a rendering as a contemporary low-rise building.

Logos, which specializes in affordable housing projects on church-owned land, recently announced that it has secured a revolving line of credit that will help it build 12 projects in Los Angeles and San Diego over the coming 12 years. The company's development pipeline totals $525 million.

“This investment creates a flexible and strategic funding model that supports both our near-term execution and long-term scale across Southern California," said Logos Faith Development partner Christopher Montes in a statement. "In line with Logos’ values-first development model, the commitment was tailored to provide immediate capital access while strengthening the firm’s financial foundation for future growth.”
